The Lone Star Bowl
Today is an EXCITING DAY!!! We are proud to announce that AFE has secured the University Benson Stadium in San Antonio, Texas for the 2019 American Football Events Team USA Lone Star Bowl. Everything happens for a reason and this schedule change represents a great reason. We are SUPER excited for this opportunity. AFE has been making plans to put this event into motion since last August to have the University of Mexico Borregos come to Texas for a rematch. However, an agreement could not be met after months of negotiations. It was at that time, discussions and plans went into motion to reorganize the Lone Star Bowl against the well established TUFA league All-Stars. AFE is proud to announce, with the coordination and help of the league owners, the Lone Star Bowl will take place in San Antonio August 14th-18th. AFE Team USA will play this as a benefit game for two local organizations: The CRIT Teleton USA and Shield for Kids program.
Two weeks from today, the All-American Bowl in Virginia Beach, Virginia will provide a selection of players to receive invites to the Lone Star Bowl. All other players must register below for the opportunity to play in Texas.
